I am always looking for new ways to keep my mind preoccupied throughout the day. I hear a lot of people claiming that yoga can be the key to gaining tranquility and even in some cases sobriety. That sounds a little strange to me but who am I to knock it.
So I looked online and after a few minutes of research I found that it is more about the mediation if you wanted to see an actual increase in your mental focus. Though this doesn’t mean that yoga by itself is useless.
Believing Yoga Works
In fact, I found that some possible benefits of yoga can include:
- Improvement in Body’s Fitness
- Overall Stress Levels Decrease
- Reduces Side Effects of Chronic Ailments
I’m not saying that I am a 100 % believer of yoga by any means. Though I might need to give it a try after reading about its possible benefits from so many reliable sources.
Anyone Can Benefit
I even saw that WWE wrestler, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, claimed that yoga was a useful tool for not only loosing weight but also in aiding him to get sober again. I mean if The Snake is man enough to try yoga then maybe I can too.
